I am based in Ottawa, Ontario. I started off studying Biochemistry when my Honour’s project sparked my love for research which grew steadily throughout a Master’s degree. I further honed my analytical, troubleshooting and "jack of all trades" skills as a lab technician at the Ottawa Heart Institute. I’ve also been interested in programming and took several computer science courses.
While my journey took an unexpected turn towards raising a wonderful family during an unprecedented pandemic, the tech industry continued to beckon. UX design, with its focus on optimizing usability and creating beautiful aesthetics, resonated deeply with me. The meticulous nature of user research aligns perfectly with my scientific background, while the creative freedom to design delightful interfaces brings me immense joy. When I'm not engrossed in UX, you might find me raising our playful Golden Retriever puppy or taking my family on hikes.
